To discuss everything about fills. How much do they cost? How often do you get yours? Are they painful? and everything related.

Try not to get frustrated....

Reaching a proper restriction level can be frustrating. The hardest thing in dealing with the lapband is getting fills until you reach good restriction.

Getting to this point can test your patience and your sanity when you think you've wasted a lot of money on surgery that "just won't work for me". I've heard from some people who are frustrated because they don't feel restriction and tell me that they think the band simply won't work for them. The bottom line is, the Lapband WILL work for you, but it has to be adjusted properly in order to do so.

Some are also under the impression that one adjustment (fill) will do the trick. It's very rare that you will only require one adjustment to get to a proper restriction level. I would estimate that it will take 2-3 adjustments before you are properly adjusted.

You've been through a lot to start living a healthier and thinner life, so a little patience might be required to get you there.

Just remember, the band WILL work, but you need to do a little to help it help you :)
